Sammie Jean Cohen

Hailing from Northeast Minneapolis, singer-songwriter Sammie Jean is inspired by a wide variety of music from her growing-up years, including Etta James, Muddy Waters, The Eagles and, as of the last couple of years, Heartless Bastards and Shakey Graves.

Allison Eykholt

A singer-songwriter, vibrational healing enthusiast, and guitarist based in Minneapolis who is currently focused on spiritual concepts, alternative tuning, 432hz/528hz frequencies, and collaboration with her band Northwoods.

Max Rewitzer

Max is a singer/songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota with a musical style best described as indie/emo folk—songs rich with layered harmonies and catchy melodies with a melancholy feel. After playing for years in the local open mic scene, the Chickadees & Blackbirds EP is Max’s first official release.

Dan Rumsey

Rumsey performs varied-style songs and enjoys playing choice covers from the 1920s on up. His folk roots have expanded into blues, jazz, and soul—and he still gets the occasional, “Hey, you sounded like Randy Newman” comment.

The Minneapolis band creates a soundscape spanning Americana and rock. Socially conscious themes resonate with the challenging times in which we live, and the band’s seasoned performers bring their live positive energy to diverse stages and festivals.

Longtime fixture on the Minneapolis music scene, Dan Israel was the first guest on 89.3 The Current’s Local Show & has been called “the hardest working singer-songwriter in Minnesota.”
