If you’re a fan of electronic body music, Belgian electro-industrial group Suicide Commando’s show at The Red Sea Ethiopian Restaurant on West Bank isn’t a show to miss. EBM started out in the ‘80s in Belgium and Germany, and Suicide Commando quickly rose as a prominent figure in the scene. The founder of the group, Johan van Roy, has one of the longest careers in the genre, and is responsible for numerous club hits. His mechanical beats, horror movie samplings, and distorted whispers have inspired many other musicians. This is the group’s first show in Minnesota in nearly a year, and The Red Sea presents as a fantastic venue to drink from the firehose of electronic sound.
