Welcome to Live Music March

We were pretty sure that, when the pandemic started to lighten, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Arts & Culture world would start to slowly reignite. We did not, however, anticipate that the music scene in particular would, with the flip of the calendar, go up like a dried-out Christmas tree.

This month of March is the best month of live music that we’ve seen in many, many years—pandemic or no. Just look at this weekend’s shows. The combination of national acts returning to the road and competing for venues coupled with the locals who have battled through the shutdowns big and small make for historic run of live performances. Good thing we have all this pent-up excitement to go out to see and hear so much of it.
