There is no better way to describe Mad Mojo Jett than with their own words—a “party-rock, garage trash, doom-pop quartet.” Pill Cutter and The Mood Swings are an excellent complement, each defining their style as fuzz pop, or music reminiscent of indie punk, shoegaze, and trance, utilizing a layer of “fuzz,” often achieved through static, distortion, or feedback, to create a hazy, dreamy sound. The key separation between fuzz pop and similar genres is its strong punk influence. The Spit Takes round out the night with straight up rock.
