Lady Midnight Takes Over Icehouse

After omicron pushed Lady Midnight’s innovative-yet-funky-as-hell group performance of Last Mourning: A Multidisciplinary Celebration of Life & Death, the electro-soul artist pushed back with not only an April date of Celebration, but also two more can’t miss shows. For Raices: A Retrospective of Influences (this Thursday’s show), Lady Midnight brings together a live band to help her honor the culturally and musically diverse group of singer/songwriters who have influenced her own work; For New Moon: A Presentation of New Work, she performs new work accompanied by DJ Cassieopia and Lazerbeak, sharing unreleased music produced by Night Stone, RP Hooks, Ziyad, and others in a fast-paced dance set. Each of these shows is a gift for fans of creative new music backed by heavy beats and beautiful melodies, the entire month of shows up close at Icehouse is a celebration. THURS, 8 PM. $15 adv, $20 show.
