Leon Bridges

THURS. 8/25 8 PM. $67-87.

From old soul revival to silky R&B, Leon Bridges time and again produces albums replete with ear-soothing songs that range from slow-dance singles to toe tappers. The Texas-born singer’s easy, languid voice invites the listener to mellow out and just sink into the music. Bridges’ career has expanded to produce collaborations with the likes of Khruangbin, John Mayer and Luke Combs, and his August visit to the Twin Cities might be the last one before he enters stadium territory: The Armory, with its mixture of train station rafters and disco spotlights, provides the perfect space for his old school meets new school, sonorous sound.
