The divine jazz artist Cecile McLorin Salvant visits the Dakota for a two-show evening of lustrous song and music. Salvant’s smooth, soul-soothing voice masters songs of grief and humor with equal grace and musicality and has earned recurring recognition including multiple Grammy awards, fellowships, and jazz competition successes. Her latest album, Ogresse, ventures into folk and baroque territory, for which she wrote both the lyrics and music. THURS, 7PM + 9PM shows. $25-50.
