When you look through pieces at a museum, it’s likely that they weren’t all found in the same location. According to multidisciplinary artist Joshua McGarvey, museums strip objects of their original context. That idea has brought us POSTURING, an exhibit dedicated to de- and recontextualizing art through a sculptural installation and videos. Tonight, McGarvey and Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art and Coordinator of the MAEP Program Nicole Soukup discuss the exhibition.
