Arts & Artists Celebration is Franconia Sculpture Park’s largest community event of the year. The day-long event includes an art tour by Franconia’s Executive Director and Chief Curator, Ginger Shulick Porcella; the debut of new artwork; free artmaking workshops; and performances ranging from responsive dance to musical acts. If you’ve never been to Franconia, you’re missing out. It is an incredible outdoor collection of sculpture installations that rivals the Walker Art Museum’s Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Having an outdoor setting is far from accidental for Franconia as their organizational values focus on fostering dialogue, and engaging and collaborating with the community. Outdoor art installations allow access to all patrons.
