A last hurrah for outdoor weather that doesn’t require a snow suit! The Cedar Cultural Center will host a block party to uplift and celebrate the community. Artists, community members, and local organizations will gather to recognize the “hard work going on in Cedar-Riverside to move our community in a positive direction.” Meet community leaders shaping the community, local artists, performances, and, of course, enjoy delicious food! One of the numerous performers in attendance is Lady Midnight, a vocalist that City Pages named Best Twin Cities Vocalist and named her album, Death Before Mourning, the Best Album of 2020. In addition to her astounding vocals, Lady Midnight is heavily engaged with the community, committed to uplifting voices of and offering support to BIPOC, refugee, and immigrant youth. Other performers include Deeq Abdi, Fanaka Nation, Hassan Shahid, and many more. Join the block party to celebrate your community, or uplift the growth of a community outside your own.
