In the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, the civil unrest resulted in damage to Lake Street and many of its businesses that are owned by Black and Latine immigrants. In order to give a voice to those who suffered damage, City of Nations Storytelling Studio created a documentary series dedicated to telling the stories of the East African business owners affected. Following the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to see a Q&A with the production team.
