Surfer Rosa just turned 35 and though a Kim Deal-less Pixies carry on, the best way to see the first era of these great tunes locally is to catch Trompe le Monde. This Friday at Green Room, for one of their handful of yearly shows, they’ll be on a four-band tribute bill with Pleezer (similarly leaning on the early, classic era Weezer), Sir Psycho Sexy (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and Heartless (Heart). Plenty of singalongs tonight to continue the breaking in of the new Uptown venue.
