WEDS. 10/5 7-9 PM. Free. All ages.
Theatre Pro Rata–Minneapolis’s playful, participatory theater company–is reviving its play reading series this fall and welcomes all who are curious about theater, script-writing, and storytelling. The night starts by revealing the script, which is a candidate for production, followed by a live table read and subsequent feedback and discussion session. Audience members, regardless of their experience with script writing, are invited to share their reactions and suggestions. Readings are held in the Crane Theater (tucked into the Mid-City Industrial neighborhood, near Norseman Distillery), and the Oct. 5 session has been teased as “a new companion piece to a famous Russian play” that brings secondary characters into the forefront. Consider us curious.
