At 67, Steve Earle has officially aged into being one of the grand old men of alt-country, but the years haven’t done much to cool his fires. Earle remains an outspoken liberal activist and musical chronicler of working class America, as well as a celebrated novelist and host of the long-running Hardcore Troubadour Radio Show on Sirius XM. His latest tour brings Earle and his band The Dukes to the cozy confines of The Dakota in advance of his forthcoming 22nd album Jerry Jeff, a tribute to the late songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker. Attendees can expect some ragged country rock, incomparable lyricism, and probably a good bit of unforgettable stage banter from one of the true originals of American music.
