Elder statesmen of the Bay Area hip-hop scene, Souls of Mischief are here to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their highly influential album 93 Til Infinity. It’s a highly rated piece of work, and exemplary of the sound the group, and their larger collective family, Hieroglyphics, are known for: internal rhyme schemes, obscure jazz and funk samples, and live bass on the beats. The title track from the 1993 album has been sampled or referred to in more than 40 songs by other artists, including Joey Bada$$, J. Cole, and Freddie Gibbs.
