Take a breath and slooooow down. In our never-stopping, fast-paced world, Laura Osterhaus is creating a practice founded on slowness. Inspired by In Praise of Slowness by Carl Honore, Osterhaus founded the Slo Dance Company as a response to Honore’s principles. The dancers move with mindful, intentional movements to represent the calming of the self through slowness, allowing us to take the time to connect, appreciate, and recognize those around us. In the constant action, commotion, and rush of our daily lives, mix it up with the dance company that creates an atmosphere in direct contrast.
