An exciting homecoming of sorts, we’ve been writing up Reina del Cid’s shows since—and this is true—a 2012 appearance at the 331 Club. How things have changed. Now based in LA (of course!), singer-songwriter Rachelle Cordova has amassed 85 million views on YouTube thanks to her Sunday Mornings with Reina del Cid, and collected a diverse following made up of everyone from jamheads to college students to white-haired intelligentsia. She returns to celebrate the release of the band’s Candy Apple Red album at the Turf Club with hometown talent Kara Laudon and former Hymie’s owner Dave Hoenack doing DJ duties.
