MacArthur “Genius” Award–winner Annie Dorsen uses algorithmic theater to find some sort of beauty in the politically and environmentally anxious time we’re living in. Each night of this three-day exhibit at the Walker features three vocalists sing new musical scores created in real time starting with the Beatles’ ‘Yesterday’ and ending with Annie’s ‘Tomorrow.’ Called hauntingly beautiful by the New York Times, the music shows how humans, computers and creativity can connect and make something transcendent.
