Opening-Day Talk: Pao Houa Her: Paj qaum ntuj / Flowers of the Sky

Hmong photographer Pao Houa Her’s new exhibition Paj qaum ntuj / Flowers of the Sky centers the experience of Hmong Americans in Northern California. After seeing a newspaper article on the ‘Green Rush,’ referencing the amount of cannabis growing that was attracting farmers to the area, she started photographing the landscape. In celebration of the opening of the exhibition, join Her and the Walker’s Victoria Sung and Matthew Villar Miranda for a discussion around the art.
