It’s that time of year again, the return of the packed Minneapolis-St.Paul International Film Festival, April 13th-27th. It’s both a great time to see some of the hundreds of selected films in the fest and also become a member of the MSP Film Society (which gets discounts on the film festival). DISPATCH will send out film highlights all throughout the festival run, but also film fans from around the region will be attending tonight’s opening festivities at The Main—all tickets to tonight’s screenings include access to the opening night party!

What if a childhood dream suddenly came true–-but thirty years later? That’s what happened to singer/songwriter Donnie Emerson. His dream of success suddenly–and unexpectedly–came true but only as he approached 50 years old. And while it brought hopes of second chances, it also brought ghosts of the past and long-buried emotions as Donnie, his brother Joe and their entire family came to terms with their newly found fame.
