Head to the Parkway Theater to celebrate two local musicians. The multi-instrumental producer Mayyadda headlines the night. She refers to her iconic mix of neo-soul vocals, folksy guitar and pop-style piano with trap beats as’BlackGirlMagic.’ Since she started on the scene in 2015, she’s used her music to encourage her listeners to slow down, see themselves from a different perspective and heal. Singer and performer Dahlia Jones—who you may recognize from the 15th season of American Idol—comes as a special guest.
