Grounded in a pop-y, early 2000s rock sound, KYM’s melodies and lyrics don’t pull any punches. In their debut EP Not 4 U they sing, “Who’s the mastermind behind Weinstein and friends? / A cycle of abuse we like to call trends.” Their music rooted in what it’s like to be femme in our world and how to navigate that experience. While the release party for their EP was delayed, it’s definitely a gift to have it during Pride month. The dream pop band Dark Bunny—who may or may not be the next big Minneapolis band—and psychedelic wave-rock, video game-chic band Foe aid in the celebration. SAT. 10 PM. $12-15.
