For nearly 40 years, the shock-metallers of Impaler have been combining their love of fast and heavy riffs with over-the-top theatrics—think GWAR, but more blood than guts—to ascend to the ranks of local musical legends. Yes, they do even have their own First Avenue star. They’ll be joined at the Palm Club by another Twin Cities institution, Dumpster Juice, who mix their own brand of top notch heavy shock-metal, but with less gore and more glorious Beavis & Butthead-style humor. The speedy punk originals and covers of The Silent Treatment, still kids comparatively, have also been a top notch staple of the Minneapolis bars and clubs, and round out the can’t miss lineup.
