While most talented local musicians make the jump to a coast after a while, they at least stay in the country—long-time highlight of the Minneapolis-St. Paul music scene Hannah von der Hoff went one better and has been performing her blend of heavy soul, rock and roots on the beaches of Mexico. ‘Holy Hannah’ returns for a stint and is filling the time with a residency at the Aster Cafe that includes Cassandra Cole and a rotating cast of a who’s who of the remaining music scene with Jillian Rae (17th), Maya Elena (24th), and Theyself still coming up this month (31st).
