The Walker’s final edition of Green Roof Poetry welcomes four Hmong artists from the Funny Asian Women Kollective, an artist organization formed in 2014 to amplify and humanize Asian Pacific Islander and Desi American women through comedy. The artists—Houa Moua, Kazua Melissa Vang, Tsuab Yang, and May Lee-Yang, the last of whom co-founded FAWK and also curated this evening’s selection—will share stories and stand-up sets that add context and commentary to the Walker’s exhibit Pao Houa Her, which captures scenes of the Hmong diaspora in the United States.
