Consider this an inside-out battle of the bands. First Avenue is recruiting 25 musicians with the charge to split into five bands and write music for said band in just two days. Then they perform the brand-spanking-new music in a brand-spanking-new band on the main stage. For the public! The condensed period of creativity and collaboration is sure to drum up some inspired–or curiously off base–music. Those interested in attending can show up for the Rock Draft Lottery at the Depot on July 5, but be sure to clear your schedules since you’ll be on stage a speedy couple of days later.
