At local artist Trista Hendrickson’s solo show EXTRICUS Collection, she uses new painting techniques to express the feeling of being freed from restraint, and inspire thought and conversation with the viewer. Her paintings feature a new expressive technique using a “combination of thick layers of paint scraped on the canvas with oil stick and charcoal.” Additionally, she uses characters repeatedly as a storytelling tool.
