In his latest guise with Small Screens, local scribe, songwriter, and all around gentleman Dylan Hicks has found a sophisticated sextet with which to outfit his tunes. Tonight they become a nontet to showcase songs from a forthcoming followup to last year’s excellent Bacharach-meets-Mountain Goats LP, Airport Sparrows. Producer and songwriter Shane Leonard has a resumé that reads like a playlist at a great coffee shop and visits tonight from Eau Claire for a live appearance of his own. Local jazz collective Space rounds out the evening in the wake of last year’s release The Approaching Coast. SAT 7/8, 8 PM, $12/$17, 21+
