Doug Collins & The Receptionists are back with their first album since before the pandemic. More country than the group’s previous albums, Too Late At Night features a collection of intimate songs that cover everything from falling off the wagon, to parental loss. However, Doug Collins’ wit and accessibility shine through the tracklist. The joy that went into making the album after the band took a break from playing together during the pandemic is on full display. Lolo’s Ghost and Annie Fitzgerald open the celebration.
