Fresh off of opening for Tiffany (yes, that Tiffany!) at Turf Club in May, singer-songwriter Jillian Rae hits Icehouse to celebrate her latest single with an evening of infectious, fiddle-driven pop. A classically trained violinist from the Iron Range, Rae has built an extensive fanbase in the U.S. with her Americana band Corpse Reviver, and another overseas after one of her songs was featured in a hit Chinese movie. She’s joined by Cassandra Cole, whose debut album Steps is a bounty of ‘90s-inspired rock and pop whose buoyant arrangements perfectly complement her lyrical explorations of mental health and anxiety.
