Descendents and the Circle Jerks

In the late ’70s and early ’80s the hardcore punk scene bubbled up from the sidewalks of Southern California’s underground like a vicious, viscous petroleum spill. Two founding titans of the genre, Descendents and The Circle Jerks, will take the stage at Palace with support from contemporaries The Adolescents. The Descendents will be playing songs from their “lost album” 9th & Walnut, originally recorded in 2002 and finalized during the 2020 Covid lockdown, featuring songs written by the band between 1977 and 1980. The Circle Jerks will be on tour for the first time in ten years, in celebration of 40 years as a band, and the reissue of their debut album Group Sex. FRI 6/16, 8:30, $45, 18+
