Danielle Nicole with PARISHES

FRI. 10/7 8:30 PM. $15. 21+.

Vibrant blues artist Danielle Nicole fell in love with the bass while playing with nationally celebrated Kansas City blues and rock band Trampled Under Foot. Now, as a solo artist with two albums out, the instrument remains a key part of her music and sound and has earned her Blues Music awards—as the first woman to win for playing bass. Her debut visit to St. Paul is joined by Minneapolis’ own PARISHES, who released a debut that melds electronic with funk and R&B, drawing on the feelings of grief and loneliness that persist even as the world opens back up. PARISHES assembles a group of local notables to round out the band for this live rendition, and will have a new single and b-side record available at the show (we’re hoping for some live teasers, too). You’ll want to come early to this one.
