Blues fans who’ve been around for the past couple of decades will recognize this local author’s name. The Austin, Minnesota-born singer will soon release his first work of fiction, Last of the Better Days Ahead. Comparable in tone to Parr’s songs, this book shows both the light and dark parts of everyday peoples’ lives. Filled with stories of childhood, family, and slightly lost individuals, fans of Parr’s songs will find comfort and joy in this book. Celebrate its release at Electric Fetus where Parr will read from and sign copies of the book, and perform his music.
