Careful, May Fall Apart Opening

FRI. 11/18 6 PM. Free. All ages.
Art offers a unique medium through which both viewers and the artist themselves can understand, process, and grow from lived experience. Careful, May Fall Apart, the latest multimedia piece from artist (and Curiosity Studio executive director) Lauren Callis, creates a space to do just that. Hosted at the Pink Slip, a photography and art studio, Callis’s exhibition explores loss and the wisdom that can be unearthed from grief. The project’s inspiration comes from the loss of Callis’s grandmother in 2018, when Callis found a forgotten note in a pile of old mail that said, “Careful, may fall apart.” This simple phrase became a guiding light for the artist as she created the show and worked through her grief.
