Bryan Miller’s Album Recording at Acme

“I used to be a lot cleaner and a lot nicer,” says Bryan Miller. One of the very best Twin Cities comics of the past decade is recording his very first solo album this weekend at Acme, and he’s not holding back. Despite having a Dry Bar Comedy special that has been viewed over 400,000 times on YouTube, and being regularly featured on SiriusXM’s clean comedy channel over the past decade, Miller says his new material is anything but vanilla. “There’s kind of a current events, politics, social… whatever vibe to it,” he says. “When I was working on it, I felt like it was actually a little much altogether in the center. It was rubbing the same area too hard for too long, so I found a way to break it up and put some silliness in the middle.” Whether he’s discussing the pains of doing laundry, or the time he saw a person get shot in front of him while writing jokes, Miller’s comedy weaves in and out of different sensibilities in a way that he truly has (here comes the terrible cliché) something for everyone.  FRI & SAT. 7 & 9:30 PM.
