In the aftermath of George Floyd, local rapper Nur-D joined protests, gave a Tedx talk about his experiences during the uprising, released ‘Black Kid, White Town,’ detailing what it’s like to be Black in a white space, and more. Premiering at Hook and Ladder Theater, the documentary Black Kid, White Town shows how Nur-D took action to create change in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder.
