Recent viral sensation and Gen Z darling Beabadoobee is headlining at First Avenue. The Phillippines-born/London-raised singer—real name Bea Kristi—began recording music as Beabadoobee in 2017. In the past five years, she’s released two full-length albums as well as a collection of EPs, racked up more than 5 billion streams for her music, and won numerous awards, including BRITs and BBC Sound Of nominations. Her latest album, Beatopia, creates a fantastical, yet deeply introspective look at a world created by the artist as a young child. Her combination of fuzzed-out rock, classic singer-songwriter hits, psychedelia, and classic pop creates some of her most impressive work to date. Lowertown opens.
