Based on eight of Kurosawa’s recurring dreams, this film is a swirling mist of short tales and fables that combines some of his most vibrant imagery and complex set pieces. (You better believe there’s going to be some aggressive wind and near-death grey makeup!) The Master has some help this time around—some of the pieces are directed by the likes of Ishirô Honda w/Akira Terao, Mitsuko Baishô, Mieko Harada, and Martin Scorsese. FRI-SUN. $8.
