Just off the west side of the Lake Street bridge and River Road is one of the best and most scenic patios in the neighborhood that bears its name. The Longfellow Grill has a large space for drinks and keeps long hours seven days a week. Perfect for a summer brunch (DISPATCH recommends the chilaquiles and the salmon scramble), Longfellow also has an especially valuable happy hour element: well-shaded seating! As for the happy hour itself, it runs Sunday-Thursday 4-5:30 and offers discounts on selected appetizers and drinks.
Additionally, Longfellow has begun to host a live summer music series on Wednesdays from 5-7 on the West River Commons Plaza. This Wednesday brings Becky Kapell to their stage.
