Julianna Barwick brings her airy vocal compositions to the Parkway Theater, with French electronic musician Malibu opening. Barwick makes dreamy, ambient tracks that explore the possibilities of what she can accomplish with just her own layered and remixed voice. She also started writing scores for indie films and documentaries, fitting her understated but carefully-wrought stylings. This show will highlight songs from her 2020 album, Healing Is A Miracle, focusing on the experimental and improvisational sound she’s practiced for 15 years, and reflecting on a cross-country move from New York to Los Angeles.
