Poets Janna Knittel and James Cihlar gather for a conversation and reading from their newest works. Knittel’s 2022 collection Real Work takes readers to locales in Oregon and Minnesota, among others, to explore themes from a “hardscrabble childhood” and the decades that followed. Cihlar’s The Shadowgraph examines LGBTQ+ identity, particularly through the lens of Golden Age cinema. Both writers will also be signing at the event.
