Hippo Campus

Grown from leggy, local boy band to nationally recognized indie-pop stars, Hippo Campus continues to explore the pains and joys of youthful existence in their latest album LP3. It’s a pop-y one full of sharp beats and the occasional auto tune, leaning a little away from the frolicking, effortless refrains in their earlier works. The band has been prolific since they formed in high school, and their journey from a 7th St. Entry gig to headlining at The Armory speaks to the band members’ collective creativity. Starting off the evening is Ginger Root, a project by California-based Cameron Lew that he self-categorizes as “Aggressive Elevator Soul.” SAT, 7:30 PM. $39-45.
