For this month’s First Thursday, join HeartStrings author Marjorie Lin Kyriopoulos for a discussion on trauma, healing and the arts. Kyriopolous will share excerpts from her memoir, where she tells the story of how the arts and writing HeartStrings helped her epigenetically heal from the trauma of the untimely death of a family member. The memoir follows the author as she traces how a tragic event can have reverberations throughout a family for years and how a person’s present can be influenced by their past. This event is a part of First Thursdays at Solar Arts, which offers opportunities to experience art, storytelling, food, and drink in the historic Northeast Arts District.
